With Samsung’s big Unpacked event around the corner, the company has begun coyly teasing the features of their upcoming flagship, the Galaxy Note 9. So far, the rumours are making the device out to be one of the better specc’d devices to hit the market this year. In fact, with Samsung possibly enhancing the S-Pen with more features, there is little doubt that the Note 9 is going to be more than just an enhanced version of the S9.
The first teaser that big blue released took aim at one of the sore point of most devices; including their own S9. In the teaser, the company takes aim at one of the most common situation we find ourselves in: running low on battery when we’re waiting for a ride share and heading to an appointment! Well, why would they be teasing this when their S9 didn’t fair much better? The answer: they seem to be taking a huge leap to 4,000mAh when it comes to the battery of the Note 9. Keep in mind that Samsung introduced their 8-point Battery Safety Check to ensure the safety & quality of their batteries. With Samsung’s much optmised take on Android a larger capacity battery will definitely ensure these situations are minimised.
The second teaser released takes a sharp focus on device performance. We find ourselves in similar situations a lot especially if we are on devices which have deliberately been slowed down or those that are just aging ungracefully. Considering how much we depend on our devices everyday, it’s becoming increasingly important to have smartphones that can keep up with us. The Galaxy Note series has become one of Samsung’s hallmark series which prioritises not only productivity but performance as well. The Note 8 proved that the company knew exactly what to do to get the most out of the hardware in the Note. With the current rumours, it looks like the Galaxy Note 9 will be no different with top of the line specifications and a capable processor.
Let’s see what the company has up it sleeve with the teasers. We might even see the Note 9 in one of them.
