The Samsung Galaxy Alpha was announced only a few days ago on August 13th. The 4.7-inch metal device boasts respectable specifications including Samsung’s latest Exynos processor, the Exynos Octacore 5430. The Galaxy Alpha comes with a 720p Super AMOLED display with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage with no microSD expansion capabilities. The device comes with WiFi, Bluetooth, near field communication and 4G LTE connectivity. Also present is a 12-MegaPixel camera with a 2-MegaPixel front facing camera. The phone will also be coming with the heart rate and fingerprint sensor first seen in the Galaxy S5.
It appears that the Galaxy Alpha is also headed to Malaysia in the near future. The device was seen in the Malaysian Certification Bureau’s (SIRIM) database passing through certification for release. Based on the history of Samsung’s device rollout from announcement, it wouldn’t be surprising to see the Galaxy Alpha release within the next month. This also means we should be getting availability and pricing soon.
