Brand new patents have surfaced from Samsung. The patents look at a new tablets, a wireless charging station and grip sensing technology.
Above, you will see the patent revolving around the wireless charging station the South Korean tech giant has in mind. The patent document seems to illustrate a device that includes a source for UV light which would act to disinfect the smartphone while it draws power.
Next, you have a patent that looks to be a new tablet. The device seems to be more unconventional as there is a button at the corner of the gadget which is not what we usually see on tablets. There is also a cover that can be coverted into a stand to hold the tablet up.
The last patent has to with the grip sensing technology which should increase interaction with our smartphones. Via the enforcement of this patent, users will be able to perform gestures and control the device without needing to touch the display screen. It should be triggered into active mode by running one’s fingers over a touch sensitive area.
Now, as per usual, just because it’s a patent, doesn’t mean we’ll ever see it become a reality. But anyhoo, which of these patents excite you the most? Let us know in the comment section below!
