We’ve just gotten over the launch of the Xperia Z3 but Sony has us at the edge of our seats once again. There is a new device called the Z3X that is rumored to be much more powerful that the Z3. We’re talking about a device that is powered by a Snapdragon 810 which is mated with an impressive 4 GB worth of RAM. And, this handset is quite big with its 6.2 inch 2560 x 1600 display. It allegedly will run on Android 4.4.2 KitKat. Final version however, will be most probably be featuring the Android L. The highlight however, is the camera the device is equipped with. The main rear camera of the Z3X features a new curved 22 megapixel 2/3 inch sensor with f/1.2 aperture.
As impressed as we are with this new flagship in the works, something just doesn’t add up when you get to the renders. The lens seems like blown up edited version of a normal camera we see on an average smartphone. Also, the shape of the Z3X is just weird and sort of amusing. We’ve always looked for a 2:1 ratio when it comes to flagships from Sony i.e the Xperia Z3. The render of Z3X looks more 2.2:1 which gives us a large top and bottom bezel.
Well, if the Z3X is supposedly a real device, it would most probably be looking at an early 2015 launch date. We’re not quite sure what is truth and false in the reports we’re hearing. The Z Ultra with its big sized display wasn’t that big of a hit but it doesn’t mean Sony wouldn’t try again with the Z3X. However, the rationing of the device makes it too bizarre to actually be real. As you can see, we’re a little confused with the truth of the information so it’s better to take it with a
handful grain of salt. We’ll definitely be updating all of you on any solid leak or rumor we get our hands on so stay tuned!
