Following the trend, another Chinese will be chasing the Android wearables competition! The other day, it was Huawei. Now, it’s Oppo’s turn.
Earlier this month, leaked images of Oppo’s alleged Android Wear was posted in Leaksfly’s twitter. If the image is right, the new device will be rocking a sleek metal design with rounded face and thin bezels. It also rocks three physical buttons on the right side. Like other Oppo devices like N3 & R5, the wearable might be having the same super-fast VOOC rapid charging.
There’s not much information being circulated on the new smartwatch from Oppo. Although, some say that the wearables will be running on Chinese software platform. If that is right, it’s not clear how Android Wear will work in China. This is so as China has one of the toughest ban towards most Google services.
Before launching it internationally, Oppo may be testing it locally in China. In battling the ban, Google may plan to offer a stripped down version of the Android Wear to win over China market.
Of course, take these information with a pinch of salt as they’re all still rumor. Hopefully Oppo will confirm this soon.
