OPPO seems to be ready to give ASUS a run for its money. ASUS just announced the ZenFone Zoom which is at the moment, the slimmest 3X Optical Zoom handset. OPPO seems to be making a smartphone that is even thinner than that which has a Optical Zoom feature. Known as the OPPO U3, the gadget is set to have a 4X Optical Zoom feature equipped on a slim 9mm body. The ZenFone Zoom clocks in a 11.95 mm thick body.
According to reports by GizmoChina, the U3 will sport a 5.9 inch full HD display and be powered by a 1.7GHz Octa-Core processor. This is mated to 2GB worth of RAM and 16 GB worth of internal storage which is expandable via microSD. Camera wise, the camera on its back will be a 13 megapixel shooter and there is a 5 megapixel camera mounted on its front. The U3 will weigh about 180 grams and have a built in Asahi Kasei AK4961 audio codec. An optional OPPO PM-3 headphones is at the ready for better audio experience.
