As we’ve previously said, the OnePlus One is one of the most impressive smartphones we’ve seen this year. It’s a flagship that costs only USD$350 (MYR 1200) without any contract subsidy needed. We’re still at awe with this device, but it seems that rumors are starting to surface about OnePlus’ next big thing – the OnePlus Two maybe.
According to Business Insider, there has been a leak on what to expect for the OnePlus One’s successor. However, don’t get your hopes up. From what we see, it’s merely an executive talking in quite vague and general terms.
The exec pointed out that the next generation will have more customizability and as per expected, the flagship will of course, be much more affordable than any other flagship in the market which aren’t on contract. According to the article, we’re looking at a figure below USD$500 (MYR 1750).
On an end note, the article states that there will be “surprises in store” when it comes to hardware. We’re not quite sure what this means. It looks hence, that there isn’t any solid rumor or leak to go on. The whole thing most probably was a marketing stunt by OnePlus to create some hype about a successor to its flagship. This really wasn’t necessary as many have listed the company on their “must watch” list as the OnePlus One did awe the crowd.
