Following the trend, OnePlus has released the stats for their company for last year. They took a different approach by releasing infographics filled with all the stats of their achievements.
From the infographics, they have gained US$300 million (MYR1094 million) in revenues. It ships about 39% of the total units of their devices to Asia, 32% to Europe, 22% to North America, and finally 7% to India. OnePlus also revealed that they have shipped 1055 tonnes (which, in the infographics, is about 6 blue whales!) of merchandises in 2014. While they didn’t state how many phones they sold, the company had a decent figure of revenues and growth as a company that started off with 6 people. Interestingly, now with 88 employees, they have also reported that they’ve ordered 134 pizzas during 2014, meaning about 2 to 3 pizzas a week.
I’m sure those extra information regarding the pizza and the weight that resembles 6 blue whales are to make things more interesting for the consumers and the investors. It is a creative way in bringing in the figures instead of doing so in black and white. Whilst they are doing not too bad, here’s to hoping they’d do better and achieve more heights in the future!
