OnePlus One Cost You What it Cost OnePlus
A couple of weeks back we wrote about OnePlus and their brand new flagship “The 2014 Flagship Killer” One. Read all about it here. Despite the price the device cannot be labelled as “cheap”, why? because it looks so good and is built so well, therefore the only way to call it is “affordable”. It’s very interesting that OnePlus can make this device so well and sell it at such a low price, in fact it’s a fraction of what it would be if you were in the market for the flagship Samsungs, HTCs and the like. So what makes it so cheap? What is the secret to the low pricing to such a device?
The secret, it seems is that the selling price of this device is the cost of manufacturing the device. According to the CEO, Peter Lau OnePlus can offer that particular price by “redistributing costs to better benefit the customers”. Other strategies in keeping costs down is by using less traditional marketing methods and taking marketing and advertising entirely online. In fact the only way to get your hands on one of these devices is to get it online so they didn’t even bother to get a physical location to sell the device.
Now as previously mentioned you can only purchase this device through invitations only and the invitations are already passed around to the winners of “smash the past” contest. It seems though there is hope to a handful of members of the OnePlus forum. It seems that OnePlus would be organising another contest but only open to the forum members. What Contest? We don’t know either but it is said that they will pick forum members based on their forum age, forum activities, recent activities and so on and so forth. It just means that most probably the person who has been in the forum the longest and been active most probably would get an invite. The invite would be for the 64GB Sandstone Black One and the offer only lasts 24 hours or else it would be passed to the next candidate. Want One? Try your luck here.
