NVidia Shield Gets 32GB And 4G LTE Upgrade
Remember that elusive gaming tablet announced by NVidia? If you are a hardcore gamer that wants to play games that conventional Android tablets cannot support, this is the definite answer for you. It is powered by the new NVidia Tegra K1. That processor itself proved to be a monster in the tablet and lives up to its name. It is currently available in the U.S. and Europe with 16GB of memory and Wi-Fi. No LTE with storage that seemed quite small. Not to worry though NVidia has just announced and opened pre-orders for the tablet to come with 32GB and 4G LTE.
That is not all, NVidia is also giving users new titles in their stables of games. The first will be a free driving kart-racing type game entitled Beach Buggy Blitz. You can play this game with your friends in split screen multi-player mode. The next is entitled BombSquad, a multi-player centric game that allows 8 players to literally blow up each others characters. Lastly a more serious title; Broadsword: Age of Chivalry, a 3D strategy game that you can play either by yourself or your friends.
In U.S. and Europe this tablet is currently priced at $399 (RM1276.80) and is available for pre-order. It starts shipping at the end of this month. There is still no word on whether this device will come to this side of the world any time soon. We are predicting that if they do come it will be another month or two at least before we can get our hands on one.
