Nokia just announced last month that it’s looking to release its own Android tablet. This might be one of the smartest moves for the team as its been barred from having any smartphone action till 2016 since being acquired by Microsoft.
The Nokia tablet is dubbed the Nokia N1. It is rumored to sport 2K resolution and should be going for sale in the first quarter of 2015 in China.
We weren’t quite sure which month of the first quarter the N1 would be released but surprisingly, it might be soon – really soon – as soon as January 7th! According to Chinese report, the device should be publicly available by the Chinese Spring Festival which is usually around the beginning of February. You might think this contradicts the January 7th rumor but one thing is confirmed – we’re seeing the N1 in the next month and a half which is quite soon.
Keep in mind though, the dates being thrown around are for sales specifically in China. International sales are still unconfirmed.
