Wait, what? Did you just read that right? 2 Day battery life with a 6-inch display? Yep. You read that right. HMD Global is at it again bringing impressive features and stock Android to entry level devices at an affordable price. The latest addition to their line up, the Nokia 3.1 Plus, brings dual camera functionality to an even more affordable price.

The new Nokia 3.1 Plus comes with an octa-core (8-core) MediaTek Helio P22 paired with 3GB of RAM. This is complemented with 32GB of internal storage which can be expanded with a microSD card for up to 400GB of additional storage.
Aside from this, the Nokia 3.1 Plus is equipped with a 6.0-inch IPS display without the notch. Yep. You got that right! No notch here! The display has a HD+ resolution of 720 x 1440 pixels in an 18:9 configuration. The screen has a pixel density of about 268 pixels.

On the camera front, the Nokia 3.1 Plus comes with a dual 13-megapixel and 5-megapixel setup for its main camera with an 8-megeapixel sensor for its front facing, selfie camera. The main13-megapixel sensor is capable of phase detection auto focus (PDAF) and has an aperture of f/2.0 with a 1.12μm pixel size. The secondary 5-megapixel sensor is a fixed focus, monochrome depth sensor with a 1.12μm pixel size and f/2.2 aperture. The main camera is also equipped with a single LED flash. The front facing camera is an 8-megapixel, fixed focus sensor with a 1.12μm pixel size and f/2.2 aperture.
The entry level device also comes with a bevvy of sensors. It has an ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, accelerometer, E-compass, gyroscope, and a rear mounted fingerprint sensor. It also has FM Radio capabilities. The phone is also equipped with a single mono speaker.
Connectivity wise, the 3.1 Plus has support for WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, BDS and Galileo support for location services as well as near field communications (NFC). The Nokia 3.1 Plus supports 4G LTE on bands 3, 5, 7, 8, 20, 28, 38, 40 and 41. It goes without saying that the phone supports WCDMA and GSM connections on 3G and 2G.
All of this is powered by a 3,500mAh battery which HMD Global claims will last 2 days even with the large 6-inch display.
Pricing and Availability
The Nokia 3.1 Plus will be retailing at RM699 starting January 25, 2019. It will only be available in Blue but will come with RM109 worth of freebies with every purchase. The free items are a rugged phone case, tempered glass screen protector and a 5,200mAh powerbank. Freebies are subject to availability and stock.
