Since Xiaomi has been expanding its broad product line, they are planning something new early this month. The CEO of Xiaomi, Lei Jun, has announced that they are preparing to introduce a new line of flagship device coming this January 2015. But sadly, there is no details or even a launch date that have been given out about this new device.
The new Mi flagship device is only a speculation, although the Mi5 would arrive soon after its predecessor the 5.5-inch Mi4S or even the popular RedMi Note. A talk about a tablet for the new flagship device could also be the talk on the table, since Xiaomi has launched its first tablet; the Mi Pad over 6 months ago. However, the circumstances on the unmentioned device may not be a smartphone after all.
Talks about an upcoming Xiaomi Notebook has came up, which pointed out some minor details about the CN¥2999 (MYR1701) device. It said that, the Xiaomi Notebook comes with a 15-inch 1080p display with an Intel Haswell i7-4500u processor, a duo-8GB RAM (16GB RAM), and a customized version of Linux. The information about the new Xiaomi Notebook has not been revealed by the Chinese company.
More news, Xiaomi is now valuing at USD$45 billion (MYR158 billion), which has a backing companies like All-Star Investment, Russian firm DST Global, Singaporean sovereign-wealth fund GIC, Hupo Fund, and Yunfeng Capital.
