Motorola XOOM 3 leaked?
It looks like Motorola maybe taking another swing at making a tablet device. It’s first attempt with the first generation Motorola XOOM was commendable – a tablet with an aluminium body with fairly impressive specifications and arguably the first Nexus tablet which launched along side Google’s first jab at a tablet centric Operation System, Android 3.0 Honeycomb. The Motorola XOOM didn’t perform too well in the market and spurred a rebranding of the tablet to XyBoard in the U.S.. However, the tablet’s downfall wasn’t its specifications, rather it was the poorly implements OS which was promptly updated to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and has since been officially updated to 4.1 Jelly Bean for the Asian Variant (everest or MZ601) and 4.2 Jelly Bean for the American variants.
Recently, pictures leaked on China’s Facebook equivalent, Weibo, showing off the Motorola XOOM 3 which comes with the familiar kevlar back which Motorola used extensively in its revival of the RAZR brand and what looks like front facing speakers. Not much more is known of the device, whether if its still in production. However, according to +hellomotoHK the device was abandoned, and from images, the device looks to be running Motorola’s Jelly Bean interface.
Now, the question remains whether Motorola will jump back into the Tablet making game. Would you get a Motorola Tablet?
