Since the acquisition of Motorola by Google, the company has been focusing on the American market and has been staying out of Asian markets. With the change of hands from Google to Lenovo, it might be that a new strategy is being put in place.
Motorola is looking to re-enter Asia with China as its first landing site. Motorola’s Chinese website is prepping for the launch of brand new Asia centered gadgets from the tech company. It is unsure exactly what the products will be – whether it’ll be a smartphone, a smartwatch, tablet etc. we don’t know.
What we do now is that the company is working on two hush-hush smartphones with codenames, XT1079 and XT1085. This might just be part of the Asian strategy the tech giant is putting together.
It’ll be interesting to see how the tech tycoon re-emerges in Asia. Question is: will it be able to survive and live up to the tight competition? We will only know in time!
