Motorola Droid Turbo and Moto S leak!
The DROID line of devices was at one time Motorola’s most popular line of Android devices. However, the one downfall the line had was its exclusivity to American mobile carrier, Verizon. Nonetheless, it seems like there will be another addition to Motorola’s DROID series, the DROID Turbo codenamed Quark or XT1254. The device was leaked by HelloMotoHK who is turning out to be quite the resource for leaks of the once Google owned company.
The leak points to the Motorola made DROID Turbo being quite the beast. The device is supposed to be equipped with a 5.2-inch Quad HD display and will be running on a quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor with 3GB of RAM. Also teased by Verizon is a device with fast charging capabilities which seems to fit with the “Turbo” moniker of the Motorola made device. HelloMotoHK was also kind enough to provide us with some pictures of the device which show the device having a kevlar back with a camera with two LED flash bulbs flanking the camera module. It also looks like capacitive buttons are making an appearance with the yet to be released device.
Another leak points to the DROID Turbo having a 20-MegaPixel camera with a 2-MegaPixel front facing camera and also looks like the only DROID device to be launching this year. Another leak which points to a Motorola made DROID device, supposedly the DROID Turbo, passing through America’s Federal Communications Commission (FCC). This document points to the device having GSM, CDMA and LTE connectivity in addition to WiFi connectivity. Bluetooth 4.0 and Near Field Communication (NFC) also make an appearance. The Motorola made DROID Turbo is rumoured to see an October launch.
HelloMotoHK also provided some information on the upcoming Motorola phablet, the Moto S. The picture of the Moto S shows the device’s back in comparison to the new Moto G and new Moto X – and the device is bigger than the 5.2-inch 2014 Moto X.
