The upcoming follow up to the Motorola made Moto G, often referred to as the Moto G2 has surfaced again in leaks. This time, the leaks come from India where Motorola has apparently decided to import 70, 200 units of the Moto G follow up. In the leak which surfaced thanks to Zauba refers to the device as the Motorola Moto G although albeit with the model number XT1068. The listing only shows the 16GB variant of the device although previous rumours have indicated that an 8 GB version will also be available. The device will apparently be available in black and white. The price is where the listing gets interesting, the import price for the device is only Rs. 10, 600 (USD$ 175/RM 555) as compared to the original Moto G which costed Rs. 10,900 (USD$ 180 /RM570) which indicates that the device may be available for as low as Rs. 13,999 (USD$ 130/RM 730).
The new Moto G, if we are following the naming convention used for the Moto X follow up, has been rumoured to come with a Quad Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 CPU with 1GB of RAM and an 8-MegaPixel in addition to dual sim functionality and a 5-inch 720p HD display. In addition, new pictures have surfaced from the Flipkart warehouse of the new Moto G box which seems to confirm that the device will be adopting a naming convention similar to the Moto X and also the Nexus 7.
In addition to this, a listing was also seen in Zauba for the Motorola device codenamed Shamu believed to be the upcoming Nexus X. The listing shows that a prototype device priced at USD$ 580 (RM 1830) was shipped from the United States along with some hardware for assembling the device. The price listed is believed to be inflated as it seems a tad be exorbitant for a Nexus device which is usually priced at about USD$ 350 (RM 1110).
We’ll just have to wait a few more days for details of Motorola’s devices.
