Meizu has just unveiled the affordable M1 Note that may actually impress specs wise for the price its going for. You have to admit though, the device looks a little too familiar.
The M1 Note is going for about CNY 1,199 (USD$190/MYR665) depending on the internal memory variation you opt for and its price tag might just an attempt to contend with Xiaomi’s very own product, the Redmi Note.
The M1 Note sports a 5.5 inch 1080 p IGZO 403 PPI display and is powered by a MediaTek octo-core MT6752 processor. This is mated with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB/32 GB worth of internal storage. Camera wise, there is a 13 megapixel f/2.2 rear camera and a 5 megapixel f/2.0 front shooter. The gadget has dual SIM capabilities and is powered by 3140 mAh battery. Out of the box, the device will be running on Android 4.4.4 KitKat and on top of that, is Meizu’s very own Flyme 4.1 OS.
There isn’t any microSD slot sadly. The M1 Note is available with different plastic cover options such as green, pink, white, yellow and blue. The device will be launching China today and will be making its debut in other parts of the globe by the end of January next year.
