Malaysia is one of the five countries around the globe where smartphone usage is higher than computers. 51% of Malaysians use smarphones compared to the 39% that use computers. China, Hong Kong, Singapore and South Korea are the other countries in Asia that have the same trend.
Interestingly enough, although smartphone adoption throughout the Asia Pacific region is growing rapidly, the same trend is not seen in the rest of the world. Developed countries like Germany and United Kingdom see a lag in smartphone-exclusive internet access.
In the same news regarding our home country, Malaysia has seemed to love online shopping and e-commerce. 70-percent of respondents at least research their next purchase online. And users buy everything online from clothes, cinema tickets, insurance to flight tickets and hotel bookings.
