Lenovo ThinkStation P320 Tiny – Transform Your Work Station
Last week we saw Lenovo’s line of updated ThinkStations and ThinkPads for the Malaysian market. This week, we see Lenovo introducing another ThinkStation work station to the global market. What is amazing about this new work station from one of the leading names in professional computing solutions is that the size.
The P320 Tiny they call it. Why Tiny? Because it is created to be so. It is supposedly the smallest ISV (Independent Software Vendor) certified work station in the market currently. It is designed to fit into tight spaces, or from the looks of it; bookshelves (it does look like it is no bigger than a large, hard cover book. Especially with the rising costs of office lots and spaces, the Lenovo P320 Tiny starts to make a lot of sense. Do not, for a second think that the Tiny is that small because Lenovo has trimmed the power down though.
The P320 Tiny is still a powerful enough PC that is supposedly able to run the most demanding of professional design software. It still packs Intel’s proper 7th Generation i Core for the full grunt of a proper work station. At the graphics department, an NVIDIA Quadro GPU is at hand to handle the most demanding professional jobs. All that power is contained within a one Liter form factor. The P320 Tiny also benefits from the vast array of Lenovo’s ThinkCentre Tiny accessories.
With the P320 Tiny compact work station too Lenovo is now offering a PC as a Service (PCaaS) for enterprises. What this does is allow enterprises who is subscribed to Lenovo to choose from a library of devices to be used and functioned as company devices or PCs. These devices will be fully maintained and upgraded by Lenovo obviously while users need only to pay a fixed fee to Lenovo. Why? That way enterprises are plenty more mobile and they can be sure to get the latest of Lenovo’s devices should the need arises. It is also worry free with Lenovo backing the maintenance for all these computing solutions. Enterprises also can choose from a plethora of Lenovo devices that would suit their needs and best fit their organisation. It is pretty much win-win.
Then there is Lenovo’s customer service department. If it was not what you would describe as excellent, that might change. At least for the corporate side of things. Known as Lenovo Premier Support, it offers a direct access to Lenovo’s vault of hardware and software experts. It allows subscribing and partnering corporations to easily troubleshoot problems and at the same time solve it with the help of Lenovo. If there is a necessity Lenovo can even have their experts go onsite to solve any issues its customer might face. That would be a very nice thing for Lenovo to do for the end-users (us the regular customers); one can dream right?
The P320 Tiny will be available in Malaysia from August 2017 onward. Prices are yet to be confirmed and will only be announced at a later date. The PCaaS is already implemented in Malaysia on a project basis so if you are one of those interested you might want to get in touch with lenovo for more information; or click here to fill up a form to get in touch with Lenovo. The Lenovo Premier Support though is yet to be in Malaysia at this date. They do confirm that Malaysia will get the Pemier Support by the 7th of July. Press release after the break.
