Sony seems to be leading the charge for the next generation of flagships as recent leaks have revealed the Xperia Z4 in the works.
The enthusiasm from the Xperia Z3 release has barely died down and Sony is already hard at work on the successor to its line of flagship smartphones. The Xperia Z4 is rumoured to be powered by a Snapdragon 810; a 64-bit octa-core chipset clocked in at 2.8 GHz. To keep the speeds blazing fast, 4 GB of RAM is supplied along with serious graphics thanks to the Adreno 430 GPU. The display would be a 5.5-inch QHD display with a resolution of 2560×1440, a big step up from the full HD display of the Z3. The camera as well will be receiving a significant upgrade, with a 20.7 MP curved Exmor RS CMOS sensor used. Other specs include 32GB of internal storage, Cat 6. LTE connectivity and Bluetooth 4.1.
Definitely a beast in specs when compared to other flagships today, the Sony Xperia Z4 is expected to launch March 2015, most likely at Mobile World Congress (MWC).
