We are all smartphone junkies and we love to see a market where consumers have plenty of choices to pick from the mobile platform option. It’s good to see Android, iOS and even Windows Phone in the market but it’s also an opportunity for others to enter the battleground and show their own operating system to the world. Recently, interesting news concerning one of the companies behind these upcoming platforms, Jolla, shared some word on a major reestablishment, splitting its hardware business from work on Sailfish OS.
Jolla’s Sailfish OS is said to be a good contender as its operating system offers a great assistance. But there is very little we know about this upcoming device as there is no name to it, but what other sources know about this device is that it comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor and 4G LTE connectivity. It is expected to be Rs. 15,000 (MYR 896).
This new smartphone will be available in the coming months, but only in India. We are not sure if Sailfish OS 2.0 is a threat to Android and iOS, but this could become the beginning of something amazing. Will this change the smartphone market? Let us know what do you think about this.
