A flurry of leaks this week have provided a fair amount of details on the much hyped upcoming iPhone 6 and the first leak comes from a video that appeared to be taken sometime prior to the WWDC this year. It appears to be some sort of rehearsal video where several images of what may be the iPhone 6 displayed at different angles. This is the first look we have on the new iPhone 6 and we notice a few distinct changes such as more rounded edges, a metallic body and of course the usual black and white iterations available.
Although these details are tantalizing enough, more leaks seems to have flooded in, this time, courtesy of the manufacturer of the iPhone 6 itself. Foxconn, a Taiwan-based electronics manufacturer has openly announced that it will be producing both the 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch iterations of iPhone 6 starting this year. This is highly contradictory to Apple’s regular modus operandi of keeping new releases tightly under wraps, even on the manufacturers side.
To make matters worse, more leaks have occurred in the China market in the form of sales of iPhone 6 accessories. Apple has even requested the aid of authorities in China to track down parties that are actually selling these accessories. This greatly displeases Apple as these accessories are made to the exact specifications of the device and may be responsible for the dummy models, as seen below.
It looks like Apple is having a hard time containing the details on the iPhone 6 but for us consumers, it is a great early glimpse into what may be the best iteration of the Apple smartphone yet.
