Apple has seen quite the success with their launch of the iPhone 6 and its larger sibling the iPhone 6 Plus in the weeks following their official announcement. The device has already sold 10 million units in its first weekend and is looking to replicate that success; this time in India.
According to NDTV Gadgets, the device is set for a release on October 17 in India with pre-orders already underway. The device prices start at INR 53, 500 (RM 2840/USD$ 850) for the 16GB 4.7-inch iPhone 6 while the bigger 5.5-inch iPhone 6 Plus will start at INR 62,500 (RM 3315/USD1017). Here’s a quick reference list for the prices of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus variants:.
- iPhone 6
- 16GB : INR 53, 500 (RM 2840/USD$ 850)

Apparently, people who pre-order their iPhones will be receiving their devices on the night of the 16th of October.
The iPhone 6’s success has been unhindered by the recent #Bendgate controversy where certain units of the larger 5.5-inch “plus” variant were reported to have bent whilst in the users’ pocket.
On the local front, however, we still have no word or indication for the rollout of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus in Malaysia but it does seem to be getting closer. We will most probably be seeing a release in the next month or so – we expect latest by mid November although it looks like it may be sooner, possibly within the next two weeks.
