If Apple wasn’t getting enough complaints about the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, it better get ready one of the worst ones to date. It seems that users have been finding small but noticeable bends around the headsets’ volume controls. And how do most of the bends come about? Putting it in the front pocket of your jeans. Yup. A little crotch force is all you need to bend your expensive flagships. Videos on YouTube show that the phone can also be bent via your bum in your back pocket and through a little force of the hand.
Amazingly, one video showed YouTube the Galaxy Note 3 being bent as a comparison and surprise, surprise, the plastic body bent and made squeaky noises but ended up with a warp or two only. Maybe plastic is the new metal?
A video from Unbox Therapy tried the bend test on the new Moto X, HTC One (M8), iPhone 6, iPhone 5S and Nokia Lumia 1020. The iPhone 6 did the worse while the others seemed more resistant and had a creak here and there.
Well, the one advice we can give to you iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus users – wear looser jeans. This might be due to the soft metal, aluminium that Apple opted for in building the iPhone 6 variants. Just be careful with how you store your iPhone 6 model. Also, if it bends, don’t try to bend it backwards, as you will see in the videos, it might end up cracking the screen and becoming even more unusable.
