We’re expecting the Tablet market to be booming in 2015 and with the competition reaching new heights, the sales of the Apple iPad is expected to drop. The Cupertino company has noted that year after the year, the sales of the iPad has declined and isn’t expecting differently this year.
ABI Research reported that Apple saw a decline of 6 million units in sales from 2013 to 2104 for the iPad. According to the ABI senior practice director Jeff Orr, Apple usually makes most of sales – 35% to be exact of the iPad in the last quarter of every year. So it needed at least 35 million in the final league of 2014 to be able to not see a decline. We will only the exact figures this month when the company unveils its Q4 earnings.
However, as the industry of tablets are booming, Apple may be able to turn the decline around but this might be a hard endeavor. ABI also believes that Amazon, Barnes & Noble and Google will experience a year-over-year decline while competitors such as LG, Samsung and Dell see an increase in tablet sales.
