It’s really hard to tell apart the new iPad Mini 3 from its predecessor. It has kept the same 7.9 inch form factor. The main difference between the the old and the new is the introduction of the Touch ID home button and an extra gold color variant to the available colors for the iPad Mini 3.
There isn’t unfortunately, that much of difference with regards to the internals of the device as well. We saw a huge improvement with the iPad Mini 2 but the iPad Mini 3 tends to disappoint in this aspect. Basically, we’re seeing the Cupertino tech giant release a new device for the sake of saying that it did release an upgrade.
Why is there no much improvement this time around with the iPad Mini 3? Well, our only guess is that Apple wants to keep the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus in the spotlight as well as ensure no inter cannibalism between its products occur.
You can find out more on Apple’s website.. The iPad Mini 3 retails for USD$399 (MYR 1310) for the 16 GB model whille the 128 GB LTE variant of the device cost USD$728 (MYR2385).
