Malaysia will soon be graced by two of Apple’s latest tablets, the iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3 as both devices have just obtained SIRIM certification.
Both the iPad Air 2 and Mini 3 have been approved by Malaysia’s standard and quality organization which means that both could be retailing locally very soon. The iPad Air 2 is Apple’s take on an ultra-thin tablet and its second generation is a big improvement. The device is powered by a three core 1.5GHz A8X chip supplemented with 2GB of RAM, making it perform 55% faster than the iPhone 6. It also comes with a 1487 mAh battery that can last up to 10 hours. To make it worthy of its name, the iPad Air 2 is only 6.1mm thin.
The iPad Mini 3 is a small 7.9-inch tablet. It is a slight upgrade from the iPad Mini 2 (or iPad Mini with Retina Display) as it retains similar specs to its predecessor, including the dual core 1.3GHz A7 processor and 2592×1944 resolution Retina display. The real additions are the Touch ID fingerprint scanner and the option of a gold colored variant.
For those of you who want to upgrade your tablets, looks like you won’t have to wait for long.
