A new fitness tracker known as Peak has been unveiled by Basis. Basis was recently acquired by Intel and is planning to have this device in the American market by November.
The Peak focuses on health and fitness and is filled with a bunch of features such as tracking steps, heart rate, calories and skin temperature. The Peak does support Bluetooth to connect your smartphone and tablet to the device. Sadly though, it does not support email and text messages notifications. Basis did comment that these improvements will come in future software updates. Developers will also be able to develop apps via planned APIs in the future.
The Peak features four days worth of battery life and a good water resistance. Canada and the United Kingdom will be seeing a launch of the device after America. The device retails for $USD200 (MYR650).
