Yet another device has been launch in the second most populated country in the world!
Sales commenced today for the Sony Xperia T3 following its launch in India five days ago. With its slim build, the Xperia T3 is similar to the higher end Xperia Z design. Equipped with a steel frame around the sides, the device weight 148g with its plastic back.
Measuring at 150.7 x 77 x 7 mm, the gadget is on sale in India for Rs. 27,990 ($465 or RM 1476). The Xperia T3 sports a 5.3-inch 720p display, 1.4 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 CPU, 1 GB RAM, 8 GB internal memory, 8 MP camera, 1.1 MP front shooter, HSDPA connectivity, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 LE and DLNA along with a 2500 mAh non-removable battery and Android 4.4.2 KitKat. The device will be available in black, white and purple in the country, and Sony is bundling the SWR-10 smartband worth Rs. 5,990 ($100) and a premium case along with all purchases.
The device does seem a bit pricey especially with cheaper alternatives such as the Nexus 5, LG G2 and the Galaxy S4 which do sport better specs. We expect Sony to hopefully reduce the price in a month or two to attract more potential buyers.
