Improved voice input for Google Search on iOS
Apple users can get even more chatty with their devices as Google is rolling out a new update for Google Search to improve voice input. The latest update allows the recognition of natural speech, such as the phrase “what’s the weather like?”. Follow up questions can also be asked such as and the app will recognize the context. This improvement will bring Google Search on par with the personal assistant Siri in terms of speech recognition.
The updated Google Search, version 4.0, has a few other performance improvements such as faster loading times and more fluid image results. Another addition is the provision of updates on users favorite topics and travel plans for Google Now. Users can now get updates from their favorite blogs and authors through this function. Cricket cards have also been made available on Google Now.
