The Iconic UX Patented by Samsung
Samsung has been attempting to make itself the one to beat especially when it comes to user experience using its devices. The TouchWiz hasn’t seen much changes through out the years but this might change with the tech giant’s new patent application.
The tech tycoon has applied for a patent called the Iconic UX. The Iconix UX is a user interface that works to put multiple apps on the same screen at the same time. According to document, the apps will be able to share data among each other and will each have an icon on the right edge of the screen.
The Iconic UX looks something like Samsung’s Magazine UX seen on the tablets by the company. Samsung has tried to improve the multi tasking user experience on Android and the Iconic UX might just be the one to make this happen for the company. However, before you get your hopes up, Google does have a tight collar on how Android looks so it’s more likely that this brand new interface will utilized on Samsung’s own operating system, Tizen instead.
Interesting move by the company. It might just be one to make Tizen strong enough to take on Android in the OS market.
