In an interview, the Head of International Media Affairs for Huawei has expressed the company’s plans for the global markets, the competition in the industry as well as why the company is just not that interested to work with Windows Phone anytime soon. Huawei previously released a few smartphones on the Windows platform but these never really made it and ever since then, the relationship has just run dry.
Well, the man did not hold back in his interview. He blatantly just said that the company did not make any money with the Windows Phone and well, nobody made any money in Windows Phone. Huawei attempted to try an idea of making a smartphone that is half Windows and half Android but even that project never took off.
Maybe it’s a simple equation really. Huawei wants to give the consumers what they demand for, not make budget friendly phones. If the market doesn’t want Windows Phones… who would want to make something consumers don’t want?
