Huawei launched their brand-new Huawei P30 smartphone series on the 2nd of April, 2019 with much fanfare. Pretty understandable when it is one of Huawei’s most popular flagship series to date. The Huawei P30 is also at the pinnacle of smartphone photography. This is especially true when it comes to the top-of-the-range Huawei P30 Pro with the quad camera set up at the back of the device.
The Huawei P30 Pro also packs wireless technology that was not available in the previous Huawei P20 series. The Huawei P30 Pro not only packs wireless charging technology, it also packs the same reverse wireless charging technology to charge your smartwatches and wireless earbuds. The same could not be said to the regular Huawei P30 though.
Technically, you can say that the Huawei P30 does wireless charging too. The only thing that is different when you enable wireless charging on the Huawei P30 compared to the more expensive Pro version is that it does not reverse charge other wireless charging devices. The other catch to enable the wireless charging for the Huawei P30, it must be via a case.
While that might sound like a bad thing, it really is not. The case doubles as a protective case to beef up your Huawei P30 smartphone too. It has a TÜV Rheinland safety certification to indicate that this case will protect your smartphone from not just scuff and drops.
The QI certified wireless charging case supports 10W fast charging too for good measure in case you need your smartphone to charge quickly. The perforated case and rubberized non-slip texture on the case helps you grip the smartphone better and reduces the chances of the device slipping off your hands. That, added to the fact that it makes a more comfortable feel to the device.
With the case as well, you do not need to stick an ugly steel plate for you to hook your smartphone up to the magnetic smartphone holders that are so popular these days in the car. The case itself comes with a magnetic material built into the case. That also means that you just need to have the magnetized holder and hook the smartphone up with no fuss. All that goodness is packed in a great looking design for the most active lifestyles of today. The case will be available in two attractive colours – Orange and Green.
The photography flagship series in Malaysia will be available in three colour options on each of the variations. Pre-order has started on the 2nd of April, 2019 and will go on until the 6th of April, 2019.The Huawei P30 (8GB + 128GB) starts at MYR2,699. The Huawei P30 Pro starts at MYR3,799 (8GB + 256GB) and will go up to MYR4,399 for the Huawei P30 Pro with 8GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. If you do get the Huawei P30 on the 6th of April or the pre-orders, the case comes with the Huawei P30, so you can truly say that the P30 does wireless charging too.
