Fellow Malaysians, Huawei has finally unveiled the Ascend Mate 7 phablet which measures at 6 inches! The gadget features a Cat 6 4G LTE with speeds up to 300Mbps and is powered on 4100 mAh battery.
The Ascend Mate 7 went live for sale on the 14th of November 2014 in Malaysia. There are two variants available to be bought – the standard version with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage is priced at RM1,799 (USD$538). The other Premium variant of the Ascend Mate 7 features 3GB RAM with 32GB storage and is priced at RM1,999 (USD$600). The standard Ascend Mate 7 will be available in either Moonlight Silver or Obsidian Black. On the other hand, the Premium unit is only available in Amber Gold.
The device sports a thinner bezel design that the iPhone 6 Plus and sports a Full HD 1080p resolution display on a IPS-NEO panel. The device is powered by a Hi-Silicon Kirin 925 Octa-Core processor (Quad-core Cortex-A15 @ 1.8 GHz + Quad-Core Cortex-A7 @ 1.3 GHz) which is better than the Honor 6.
The gadget also features a 13 megapixel Sony BSI main camera and a 5 megapixel shooter. The Ascend Mate 7 also is equipped with a back finger print scanner so be ready to unlock your device with just your thumbprint! Out of the box, it runs on Android 4.4 KitKat with their latest EMUI 3.0.
