Mobile World Congress (MWC) is a little over a month away taking place in March. It’s bound to be an exciting one with what we expect to be a surge of “new” original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and brands that will be entering the mobile sandbox.
Huawei is one of those “new” OEMs that we’re talking about. The Chinese OEM used to play second fiddle to many others like Samsung, Xiaomi and Taiwanese OEM HTC. This year, however, it seems like Huawei is looking to come out of the shadows into the limelight.
Huawei has sent out invitation to their announcement happening on March 1st in Barcelona as part of MWC. It’ll be really exciting to see what Huawei has in store considering the amount of rumours that have been coming about regarding the Chinese manufacturer. We covered them here and here.
This year could very well be the year that we see new OEMs take center stage as consumers look for something new.
