With CES just about wrapping up, we have seen many smartphone manufacturers teased off their plans for the flagships of 2015, but one who has not revealed their hand yet is HTC. Now, we may have an early sneak peek on a HTC flagship, thanks to some leaked images and interesting benchmark results on AnTuTu.
The flagship device, which is most likely the One M9 or codenamed Hima, was first visualized thanks to some leaked art. As seen above, it does not really provide an accurate rendition of the device, thanks to all that paint, so it is hard to gauge its size and any standout features. We do however, have a first look at the design and immediately notice a rather large bezel. While not particularly appealing, bezels are there for a reason, mainly to accommodate features such as better speakers.
Some snooping around in the AnTuTu benchmark database yielded more concrete insight of the new HTC flagship. Benchmark results showed an HTC device with hima in its name sporting specifications befitting of a flagship. It is powered by the cutting edge Snapdragon 810 with Adreno 430 GPU and supplemented with 3GB of RAM. The display is 5.0-inches of full HD glory and it runs Android 5.0.1, Lollipop. Another impressive feature is the cameras, which comprise of a 20.7MP rear shooter and a whopping 13MP front shooter.
Once again, its important to note that these are leaks, so any of features may be subject to change. But with a powerful Snapdragon 810 under the hood and impressive cameras to boot, HTC may be looking to challenge at the front end of the flagship category with its Hima (or One M9) device.
