It seems HTC has been added to the long list of companies planning to launch their very own smartwatch to be known as the HTC One Wear.
According to Google in their March announcement, HTC along with Samsung and Asus as well as others will be partnering with the US tech typhoon to release a range of smartwatches. A report has said that HTC will be releasing their very own version of the trendy smartwatch, HTC One Wear that will launch either late August or early September this year.
However, there have been no images or other details to back this report up. The inside source says that the smartwatch will have the same round appearance as the Moto 360 and will run on the same Google experience as well. The HTC One Wear will supposedly be available in two versions – the first in polycarbonate, the second in metal. The latter will obviously be priced higher.
If HTC can offer the same but better version of the Moto 360, it will look as if we have a good competition on our hands. The market is already booming with smartwatches so another one to add to the mix will be make it even more interesting to see who comes out first.
However, keep in mind that these are all rumours. Nothing has been confirmed and HTC has yet to release an official statement.
