The official Gallery app for HTC has finally received an update through Google’s Play Store that brought an exclusive host of new features and improvement. The features includes a cloud-based gallery, a Face Fusion photo editor, a tag-your-snaps with keywords, and a few more new features. The HTC Gallery is a pre-installed app on HTC devices with a touch of Sense UI, however, HTC had made their app acceptable in Play Store back in 2014.
HTC made it fast and free for HTC users and for other non-HTC users to use the app without the need for any firmware update. This update is considered a big thing, with some added improvements that allows users to experience an improved performance and stability. The HTC Gallery app features a new cloud-based gallery for users to store their photos on a cloud drive and share them any time and anywhere. The update also allows users to connect their Facebook, Dropbox, Flickr, and Google Drive accounts so that they can savor all their photos in one place.
In the latest update, HTC introduced a new photo editing feature called Face Fusion. This feature allows users to take two different photos and blend it in together using some entertaining cool effects. There’s another fun feature added where users can tag their photos with keyword, which later the users can use the new tag to search for a photo that they have tagged. Users can also search tags that are pulled from Facebook and Flickr.
Unfortunately, the cloud-based gallery feature is only appearing in some regions. Not all HTC owners will receive the update simultaneously, but in some countries with a high usage of HTC devices, the cloud-based gallery update shouldn’t be problem. But to those who can’t wait for the update to be pushed out, head over to Google Play Store to update/download the latest version.
And for owners who owns a HTC device, let us know what do you think about this latest update.
