HP Sprocket Photo Printer Goes Into Malaysians Pockets
Instant film are all the rage a few years back. With the progression of the smartphone cameras though instant film has been taking a back seat. Of course, certain manufacturers are looking to push for a comeback with the instant film format. The instant film market though is a niche market in itself, and believe me when I say that those things are not exactly cheap. So what is the next best thing? Pocket printers of course! For you HP fans, they do make one.
Just very recently launched in Malaysia, the HP Sprocket is HP’s way of having fun with photos. The Sprocket instantaneously prints on a 2 x 3″ format and prints out of your smartphone so you would not have to buy another camera just for it. All you need to do is download the free HP Sprocket App on either your iOS or Android devices.
It can print all sorts of images too from .jpeg, .gif, and .png files making it as versatile as ever (most of your smartphone photos come in .jpeg format anyway. Through the app as well you can instantly edit the photo and add a little bit of fun to it with borders, emojis, stickers, filters, and a range of fonts. The edited photos can then be shared on any social media you have, or be printed through the Sprocket via Bluetooth.
The HP Sprocket is available through HP’s site at hp.com.my/Sprocket retailing at MYR599. Colours available are Black, White, and Red. Photos and press release after the break.
