At the recent Google I/O Developers Conference, Google released quite a handful of new devices. But one of the main highlights all of us were waiting for was Android L, the newest version of the Android operating system (OS).
Android L has brought forward a brand new Material Design that makes the user interface (UI) more simplistic, better looking and smooth. It gives users a premium consumer experience when using Android devices across all the devices running on the OS.
According to many, it is an amazingly creative design that gives all Google’s competitors standards that may not be reached. The innovation used in the design has not gone unnoticed. Google’s UX design has won the gold award for the best contribution to user experience (UX). The UX Awards are coveted titles only attained by the best software since 2011.
The Material Design by Google is a user interface that has multi platform flexibility and dynamism which lacks in most other user experiences. With the design being the same for all Android gadgets, the new design guidelines by Google has given every single gadget the same attention without sacrificing something due to size. Prior to this, many thought due to the smaller screen of a smartphone, it’s material design will be lacking compared to that of the tablet. Google has effectively broken this belief and is much deserving of this award.
