Recently, Google secretly disclosed to shut down Google Wallet API for third-party digital purchases, pointing out a change in digital payment. Although, Google Wallet will continue to exist and users can now make purchases for good through physical retail stores using NFC for payments.
Google issued a note to the internet merchants saying that Google Wallet will continue to work on Play Store after they shut Google Wallet on March 2nd, 2015, but not for other web-based purchases. The note also includes a Continued Merchant Center Access that allows web-merchant to continue having access to the merchant center for purchasing refunds, getting payouts and seeing reports.
However, Google is not replacing any app or product for Google Wallet on web purchases. As it is right now, the technology market is being replete by PayPal, Amazon and other payment methods.
What do you think about the shutting down of Google Wallet and how do users pay for anything on the web beside using PayPal or Amazon.
