Google Play Store Extends Testing Period
We have good news for all Android users who love app shopping. Google is now extending their Google Play Store refund window; Instead of the original 15 minutes refund window, users will now get an extended 2 hours to try an app out. If you’re an app enthusiast, you’ll definitely take more than 15 minutes just to test an app that you have just purchased.
Google Play has indicated on its support page that those who purchase any app or games, will get a full refund within 2 hours. However, there is a catch: after purchasing and returning an app, any following purchase will lock you in. Rather than having the thought of being stuck with an app that you don’t like, now you’ll be able to try an app for a long period of time. The change could also result in app developers cutting down the trial duration of their apps. Some developers might not feel the need to create a separate or component-locked versions of their app or games. It might be a little displeasing to some developers as they may see a rise of refunds instead of sales.
