Google acquired Polar last month. Polar is a startup which is dedicated to just polling. We were wondering what the plans were with this acquisition. Back then, all we were told was Polar is getting on board to make Google+ more awesome. We weren’t quite sure how that would work especially with a company that specializes in polling. Now, we know.
Dennis Troper from Google has announced that a new polling feature is coming to Google+. When this feature becomes fully available on Google+, users will be able to see an option for creating a poll anytime users make a new post. The poll system works by users creating up to five question which can be more enhanced with the insertion of an image. With this, users can also choose layouts for the appearance of the poll.
While this may be a small additional feature, the polling system might just Google+ much more interactive for users and much more useful for companies trying to interact with consumers and get opinions. It’s a quick way to do a survey!
