Remember the Nexus 7 tablet? The budget tablet that showed the world over that even with such a price you can have a high end device. Google have previously made a slight mistake in leaking “Flounder”, the supposed codename for their new tablet device; we are guessing it is the Google Nexus 8. So what can we expect from Google for the next addition to this family line?
Since iOS has made the jump to the 64-bit wagon, it only makes sense if Android follows suit. It appears the the “Flounder” codename was Google’s attempt in taking the Google Nexus tablet into the 64-bit territory. Now here’s the interesting part; Google needs to have a 64-bit processor to fit the 64-bit software and they are tied up with multiple rumours with different manufacturers. The previous rumours suggests that the Google Nexus 8 would be running on an intel-based processor capable of 64-bit. A more recent rumour denied that and reported that, like the recent Google Nexus 4 and Google Nexus 5 they would be going to Qualcomm for their 64-bit processors. The most recent one though claims that NVidia will once again regain their place in the Google Nexus tablet just like when they released the Google Nexus 7 with the Tegra K1. Whichever it is, we know that the Google Nexus 8 would be another world beater in one way or another. When is it going to be released? Google I/O that’s happening very soon of course, they always launch their Google Nexus devices with their latest Androids there; so why expect differently?
