Google News is backing away from Spain because of a new law that was implemented by the Spanish publishers and newspaper companies to charge Google each time their content appears on Google News. This means that Internet users in Spain will no longer have Google News! But it seems that the Spanish Newspaper Publisher Association (AEDE) is insisting the Spanish government to bring Google News back.
The AEDE claims that Google is a leading developing marketeer and that they can’t just simply leave. And with Google’s absence, it will cause a negative impact on both business and with the public users. The AEDE is willing to propose something to keep Google News, but it seems that Google is disinterested in AEDE’s proposal.
The offer is quite a dreamer, the publishers desire to have some benefits like wanting Google News to come back in order to bring them more readers and asking Google to obey the terms and conditions which Google doesn’t like. And as far as we know, the AEDE accepted that Google is free to leave without any interference.
