For the past three years the Cupertino based firm, Apple Inc. has topped the charts as the world’s most valuable brand. This year is an entirely new year and a new player has taken the title as the world’s most valuable brand – Google. It definitely isn’t a huge surprise considering how widespread and how much innovation Google has thrown in for the past couple of years. This year though Google has led innovations with the Google Glass project and Artificial Intelligence (Self-Driving Cars) among others.
Google’s value has gone up 40% over the past year and currently sitting at $158.84 billion (RM524.17 billion) while Apple’s value decreased by 20%, currently sitting at $147.88 billion (RM488 billion). Other brands that are worth mentioning in this list in descending order is IBM at $107.54 billion (RM354.88 billion), Microsoft at $90.19 billion (RM297.63 billion), McDonald’s at $85.71 billion (RM282.84 billion), and Coca Cola at $80.86 billion (RM266.84 billion).
