Google Fit Updated
Good news for health and fitness addicts, Google Fit has received an awesome update this week. The update introduced 100 new activities, some several bug fixes and numerous add-ons for the Android Wear users. Yet again, for those who don’t really know what is Google Fit; its a fitness tracking app that was meant for running, walking and cycling.
In this latest update, Google Fit has included 100 new activities to the app with an improved algorithms to evaluate the users steps. Users must input manually the activity that they want to do. This activities consist of a large faction of winter sports such as, skiing, skating, and even biathlon. Plus the normal activities such as volleyball, circuit training, weight lifting, dancing, wind-surfing, and many more sport related activities.
But the most appealing update in the Google Fit app is the new Android Wear support. Although Google is calling it an experimental, the users smartwatch can evaluate the steps even when the smartwatch is not connected to their phones. And the next time they connect their smartwatch with Google Fit, it will automatically sync the last activity that was recorded. And yes, this is good news for users who loves swimming.
