The Samsung Gear Live and LG G Watch has finally arrived in our home country, Malaysia!
The LG G Watch that runs on Android Wear is compatible with any Android device that runs on a minimum Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. It’s easy to pair the smartwatch with Android devices via the Android Wear app. Navigation on the wearable is done with the swiping method. See the how to use video below that we’ve attached! If fellow Malaysians want to get their hands on this bad boy, be ready to fork out at least RM825 on Lelong, a Malaysian online retailer. The LG G Watch is a little inferior to the Gear Live with a 1.65″ display with a lower 280×280 pixels resolution.
The Samsung Gear Live however, has been priced at RM999. Also running on Android Wear, the Gear Live is the only smartwatch available in Malaysia that has the heart rate sensor. This explains the more expensive price tag it is sporting. The wearable tech has a 1.63″ Super AMOLED display screen with 320 x 320 pixel resolution. It has a 1.2GHz processor with 512MB of RAM and 4GB of storage. It is lucky for us, water and dust resistant which is perfect for our rainy yet hot weather.
