Rumours have surfaced this week regarding a new high end tablet in the works by Samsung. Dubbed the Galaxy Tab S, the new tablet is expected to be the start of a new series of high end tablets to go hand in hand with their flagship Galaxy S smartphones.
Specifications for the Tab S were leaked from SamMobile, speculated to have a 2560×1600 resolution AMOLED display, the Octa-core Samsung Exynos 5 processor, 2GB of RAM, an 8 megapixel rear camera and 2.1 megapixel front camera. It comes with 3 options for storage; 16GB, 32GB or 64GB. There are also two rumoured variants of the Tab S based on screen size which are the 8.4 inch and 10.5 inch models. It also incorporates the fingerprint reader from the Galaxy S5 with a possible new feature that accommodates multi-user login. The tablet is also expected to run on Android 4.4.2.
No release dates and prices have been confirmed as of yet but it won’t certainly come cheap with specs like that. More updates to come.
